Dreadfully I walk inside your chamber
As I find my place far away
From your sight
You enter and the wind stops to breeze
As my day turns into night
Words from your lips, frighten my very soul
Your eyes that scrutinize
Like a microscope
Hiding my thoughts; silenced with your gaze
Losing confidence;
Losing hope
But then I know, inside this beast
Inside this ogre
Lives a person just like me
Who has frailties, who has insecurities
Beneath a facade
So no one can see
I pity the fool who caused you pain
For making you live
Life in misery
But don't blame me, for the strife life gave
Don't look at me
Ever condescendingly
